Stones Celebrate Membership of Conveyancing Quality Scheme
Solicitors from the Residential Property Team at leading Devon law firm, Stones Solicitors LLP, are celebrating membership of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).
The introduction of the CQS stems from pressure from mortgage lenders and legal profession insurers. It is likely that mortgage lenders will only use law firms that are part of the scheme for transactions where clients require mortgage loans.
Stones underwent rigorous assessment in order to achieve CQS status.
President of the Law Society, Linda Lee, said: “CQS provides efficiency with common, consistent standards and service levels and enables consumers to recognise practices that provide a quality residential conveyancing service. Buying a home is one of the largest purchases anyone will make in their lifetime, so it is essential that it is done to the highest standards by a solicitor.”
