Samantha Pucci

Samantha is a Partner in the Travel Tourism and Insurance Team.
Samantha was a Trainee with Stones and qualified in 2001. She has specialised in travel and insurance related matters for over 10 years and became a Partner in 2004. Samantha is also the Partner appointed to oversee the firms’ Trainees, dealing with recruitment through to qualification.
Whilst the cases Samantha advises upon are varied, her current workload consists mainly of matters involving Claimants injured abroad including ski related incidents. Samantha also deals with accident claims arising in the UK and advises insurers in relation to liability issues in both domestic and foreign matters.
In addition to personal injury claims Samantha is experienced in dealing with subrogated recoveries for insurers and employers, and also advises insurers in respect of Personal Accident Claims particularly those involving Permanent and Total Disability.
Having worked closely with both insurer clients and individual clients since qualification, Samantha is fully aware of the need to provide prompt, reasoned and realistic advice given the unique circumstances of each matter.
Samantha’s professional memberships include:
- Association of Personal Injury Lawyers;
- Institute of Travel and Tourism; and
- Travel and Tourism Lawyers Association.
Legal 500 (2011) gives a “recommendation” for Samantha.
Samantha has recently advised in relation to:
- A fatal accident in Greece, resulting in litigation and subsequent appeal to the Greek Court of Appeal;
- Significant injury claim arising from injuries sustained in Australia where settlement was reached following a Compulsory Conference by way of video link;
- High value road traffic accident claims dealt with in accordance with the 4th and 5th EU Motor Insurance Directives;
- Head injury claim involving a minor;
- Tour Operator claims where the excursion was booked in resort;
- Permanent and Total Disability claims arising under a contract of insurance;
- Claims involving both the Montreal Convention and Athens Convention.
