Law Firm Achieves Second Children Panel Member

Hannah Lush, a solicitor specialising in family law at Stones Solicitors in Exeter has become the second solicitor within the firm to achieve membership of the Law Society Children Panel.

Membership of the Children Panel means that Hannah can now represent children in legal proceedings, for example when a Local Authority intervenes and takes children into care. Without membership any solicitor can act for parents or other family members in such cases, but they cannot act for children.

Hannah joined Stones to work for the Family Team in 2009. She has leant increasingly towards children’s work over the past couple of years, and is "over the moon" to have gained panel membership after 15 months’ hard work to complete the necessary qualification process.

David Howell-Richardson, Head of the Family Law Team at Stones, comments, "We are extremely pleased that Hannah has been rewarded for all her hard work by being accepted onto the Law Society Children Panel. Her appointment enables us to increase the volume of Children and Guardians work that we undertake, and further expands the level of expertise within the Team, adding yet another string to our Bow."
