British Ceramic Tile announces the acquisition of Ceramic Prints Limited
The Company Commercial Team at Stones Solicitors LLP has supported tile manufacturer British Ceramic Tile (BCT) in its share acquisition of Ceramic Prints Ltd (CP) - a bold move to create one of the largest tile companies in the UK.
Founded in 1983 by its CEO, Tony Taylor, CP is one of the UK’s biggest importers and distributors of tile, stone and glass decorative products. As well as producing decorative tiles and borders, Ceramic Prints supplies DIY multiples and independent tile retailers within the UK via its 150,000 square foot distribution centre in West Yorkshire
The acquisition will see BCT draw upon the strengths of its world-class, state-of-the-art manufacturing operation and CP’s extensive sourcing and supply chain experience to offer customers, both in the UK and abroad, a unique product portfolio and level of service that is second to none.
The combined businesses will bring greater breadth and depth to BCT in what is an extremely tough and competitive market. BCT’s substantial manufacturing capacity will be supported by CP’s strong portfolio of out-sourced material and extensive experience of global product sourcing. The enlarged business will be dual-sited in Devon and West Yorkshire.
Working closely with its existing distributors and combining industry expertise, skill base and advanced manufacturing capability will enable BCT to bring even greater product choice to customers across all market sectors with their offering of high quality ceramic wall tiles and licensed brands being supplemented by floor tiles, porcelain, glass, natural stone, mosaics and decorative features.
