As Chief Executive, Paul’s aim is to ensure Stones fully contributes to and benefits from the continued prosperity of the region for the benefit of its clients and staff.
To achieve this aim Paul directs the firm so that staff are motivated and have a clear understanding of:-
- Clients' needs
- the market in which they operate
- the challenges they face
- how they can help in meeting those challenges.
Stones has a strong reputation for the quality of its advice in both the commercial and private client spheres and is fortunate to be based in geographical locations which are both expanding and in which it is a pleasure to live and work.
To build on the success of the firm it is essential to keep abreast of changes in today’s fast moving legal environment by seizing opportunities quickly. In order to achieve this, Paul leads and directs the firm’s Strategic Board in the implementation of the firm’s strategic objectives.
The Strategic Board
The main focus of the Strategic Board is to work closely with the Chief Executive and to look at all aspects of the way the Firm:
- delivers its services to clients;
- ensures that the Firm stays in tune with the clients' changing needs;
- keeps up to date with changes in the various legal markets in which the Firm operates.
As Heads of the Firm's Commercial, Litigation Services (including Publicly Funded work - Legal Aid) and Private Client divisions, each is responsible for the development, direction and growth of their division, while ensuring these are aligned with the Firm's overall business strategy.
