Appointment Strengthens Growing Employment Law Team

Leading Devon Law firm Stones Solicitors LLP has appointed Connie Jim to its growing Employment Law team.

Connie joins Stones from South Wales, Bristol and London firm Berry Smith LLP. She has extensive experience across a wide range of employment law  including unfair dismissal, redundancy, unlawful deduction of wages, discrimination, matters relating to the Public Interest Disclosure Act and TUPE. She has represented clients from the charity, education, health and SME sectors.

At Stones, Connie will help to develop the firm’s Employment Law team still further. She will take responsibility for its BOLDER scheme, which provides a full menu of employment legal services, such as jargon-free advice, support and guidance in compliance with employment law, advice on how to intervene early to prevent disputes, a dedicated freephone confidential helpline, an on-line support area and professional expertise for disciplinary hearings, performance management, redundancies and sickness management.

She will also help to develop a virtual HR service for businesses and organisations that are unable to resource a full in-house HR department.

Connie’s appointment comes hard on the heels of the appointment of John Turnbull, who recently joined Stones to head up its Employment Law team and build on its already successful reputation.

John Turnbull commented: “The Employment Law team at Stones is in the ideal position to act to its existing strength and depth, continuing to provide responsive and commercial advice. Connie’s skills and expertise will help us to achieve our objectives for growth and excellence.”
