Wills Trusts & Probate
We deal with the preparation of Wills and advise on the arrangement of clients' affairs to preserve capital so as to ensure the maximum inheritance for the beneficiaries. We can advise on safeguarding vulnerable beneficiaries as well as making tax efficient provisions.
The Team deals with all aspects relating to the estate of someone who has died including applying for the Grant of Probate and dealing with the administration and distribution of the Estate.
Trusts
Stones advise on methods of asset protection in order to provide for the needs of beneficiaries and safeguard the Estate for the future. This often involves the creation of trusts and, in this field, Stones has acknowledged expertise.
We can advise on all aspects of personal tax planning and methods of mitigating tax including Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax. This may include the use of Trusts.
Charities
Stones advises on all aspects of Charity Law in the light of continuing changes in this area and the increasingly important role of the voluntary sector in all aspects of national life. Stones advise on charitable status, on the appropriate legal framework for a charity, setting up new charities and obtaining charity registration. We advise charity trustees on their obligations, duties and powers and on all issues relating to charity administration, such as fundraising.
We can advise concerning the variation of charities and charitable objects and all dealings with the Charity Commission including Charity Commission enquiries. We advise on and deal with the acquisition and sale of charity land and property and all related issues.
