Stones’ Defence Advocate Team Leading The Way

Stones Solicitors has recently appointed Warren Robinson and Rachel Bentley to the firm’s Defence Advocate team. Their appointments bring the number of Stones Solicitors who are Higher Court Advocates (Criminal) to four.

Warren and Rachel join Peter Seigne, Partner and Head of Defence Advocacy and Katrina Byrne both of whom are Higher Court Advocates (Criminal), and Nick Emson, Partner. The Advocates are supported by case workers all of whom are experienced in Criminal Law and procedures.

As a leading provider of Defence Advocacy Services in the South West, the team has an enviable reputation and is highly regarded by clients and professionals alike. They are able to offer representation right from the all important early stages at the Police Station to the Crown Court and the Court of Appeal.

Warren has extensive experience in Fraud and Confiscation Proceedings which require meticulous preparation. He has also been involved in a number of serious matters including Devon’s largest conspiracy trial in recent years.

Rachel is experienced in dealing with all types of matters before the court and at the Police Station ranging from motoring offences to very serious offences such as murder.

Peter Seigne said: “We have been providing expertise in this field for over 30 years during which time we have earned a formidable reputation.

“At a time when some long established firms have stopped taking in criminal work we have responded to the need for change by creating a new team, with a new base and a new way of working.

“With five Solicitors and two cases workers we hope to be able to provide round the clock, reliable cover whenever we are asked to help at the Police Station or Court. The days of being office based are over, we have to be more flexible.”
