The Firm has significant contacts within the commercial field and part of this role would be to develop and expand those relationships.

Job title: Salaried Partner

Team: Corporate Commercial

PQE: 5 years +

Main location: Exeter

Main purpose of the post:  To work with your Head of Division to manage and develop the Corporate Commercial Team in Exeter and to provide legal advice within your area of expertise both to clients and other teams within Stones.

Key result areas:

  • To develop work within the Corporate Commercial Team in Exeter in line with budgets and targets set by the Strategic Board and under the guidance of the Head of Division.
  • To ensure that effective procedures are implemented across the Corporate Commercial Team in Exeter in line with the Firm's set standards.
  • Ensure that the Corporate Commercial Team in Exeter complies with protocols and procedures laid down by the Strategic Board and Lexcel.
  • Develop new business in line with the objectives in the Stones Business Plan.
  • Encourage, motivate and ensure that all Corporate Commercial staff have access to training and personal development to enable high standards of performance and to meet CPD and business needs.
  • Carry out your work for the Firm and the clients to the highest possible standards having regard to the Law Society's rules on professional conduct and effectiveness and the "Practice Management Standards".
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct upholding the reputation of Stones at all times.

Other duties:

  • Attend and support Stones marketing/business events as required to promote the range of services offered to current and potential clients.
  • Ensure that personal responsibility is taken for maintaining up to date knowledge and expertise in line with CPD requirements.
